Gabriela Belsley
MSc(Hons)
DPhil Student
I am reading for a DPhil in Medical Imaging at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research, under the supervision of Dr Liz Tunnicliffe, Prof Damian Tyler and Prof Matthew Robson. My main research focus is on using widely available pulse sequences to map the relaxation time T1 of the liver. I am optimising quantitative magnetic resonance imaging sequences to obtain accurate and precise whole-liver T1 maps in vivo. I work at the interface between data acquisition and image processing. My DPhil project is industry-linked with Perspectum Ltd., which is at the forefront of developing methods for better diagnosis and stratification of liver diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
