DRIVE Trial

The DRIVE trial assessed whether it is possible to use desmopressin to reduce the risk of bleeding for patients with low platelet counts undergoing invasive procedures. The trial recruited 43 patients from 3 UK critical care unit. This trial demonstrated challenges to feasibility of running a definitive trial for desmopressin in this setting.
