If you are identified through your Display Screen Assessment (DSE) as a 'user' you are entitled to request an eye test. Your admin team will arrange your test with one of the University's nominated opticians and reimburse the cost of the test. Where a new or altered prescription for spectacles is required for DSE use, the department will contribute £75 towards the cost. For more information on this visit the University guidance pages however please contact your local admin team to get this arranged through the department.
Free seasonal flu vaccination
As part of our commitment to staff well-being, we offer RDM staff a free seasonal flu vaccination at sites across the JR Hospital and the Old Road Campus during Michaelmas Term.
The offer is intended to complement existing opportunities to get vaccinated against flu. Many staff members will already be eligible via OUH for those with a clinical contract or through the NHS if you are over 65, have specific health conditions or are pregnant (more information is available on the NHS website). Staff members who are pregnant or anyone over 65 should make use of the NHS offer rather than booking this occupational health service.
Keep an eye out in the RDM Weekly Bulletin for information on when appointments become available and how to book.
