OCMR Facilities

We have state-of-the-art magnetic resonance facilities, including three whole body MRI scanners and a hyperpolarizer for metabolic studies.

OCMR has the following MRI scanners.

1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto FIT
3 Tesla Siemens TIM Trio
3 Tesla Siemens Prisma

OCMR has a part share in the Siemens Magnetom 7 Tesla MRI scanner housed nearby at the Oxford Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain (FMRIB).

In 2013 OCMR installed a GE SpinLab Hyperpolarizer system which is used for metabolic imaging.

We have two clinical areas for patient/ participant preparation and a participant interview room.

We also run an imaging core lab for analysis of acquired scan data.
