NDCLS History
Our division was established in 1999 by bringing together two departments: the Nuffield Department of Pathology and Bacteriology and the Nuffield Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Cellular Science. This merged all of the clinical laboratory-based units in the Oxford Medical School, including Microbiology, Genetics, Cellular Pathology, Haematology, and Clinical Biochemistry.
In February 2012, along with a number of other clinical academic units, we became a division of the Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM).
