Workshops & Activities – the following two workshops and round table are available at the sessions titled workshop one and two. Please choose one per session.
- Workshop One: Forbidden topics. Dr Susan Black, Careers Services, University of Oxford. This workshop tackles the 'forbidden topics' we often shy away from in professional settings—questions about salary, annual leave, benefits, and negotiating better work conditions. Join us to gain the confidence, insights, and strategies for addressing these essential, yet sometimes intimidating, conversations openly and professionally.
- Workshop Two: Interview process. Dr. Chris Jeffs, Careers Services, University of Oxford. This workshop dives into the interview process, covering everything from preparation and common questions to presenting your strengths and navigating challenging scenarios. Join us to build confidence, refine your approach, and gain practical tips for standing out in interviews and landing your next role.
- Round Table Discussion (Auditorium) – Q&A with some of the speakers – Take this opportunity to engage with our speakers and ask any questions on your mind. Don’t be shy—they’ve likely had similar doubts or thoughts in the past.
