EDI and the Athena Swan activities are co-ordinated across the department by the RDM EDI Committee. Expertise and input is provided by cross-divisional committees and working groups, which play a key role in the local implementation of the Athena Swan action plan and in driving EDI initiatives forward.

The RDM EDI Committee meet quarterly and provide support for department-wide initiatives that benefit from a central co-ordinated approach (eg the RDM Mentoring Scheme and the RDM Career Development Committee). Charlotte Smith (EDI and Strategic Projects Facilitator), supports EDI activities across RDM, as part of the department’s ongoing initiative of creating a better workplace.
