MRC WIMM HR Manager
As HR Manager I manage the HR function for NDCLS and associated research groups based within the Institute and also for the core support staff (Finance, IT, Health & Safety, Buildings, Catering, Reception etc.)
I have worked at the Institute since September 2008 and previously at University Personnel Services, within the Staff Immigration Team (known then as the Work Permits Desk). Before working at the University, I worked for 6 years at the Medical Research Council (MRC), both in the MRC Oxford Regional Centre and at MRC Harwell.
My HR Generalist role is wide ranging and includes managing the recruitment process; employee life cycle; advising staff on policy; supporting and advising managers; managing payroll; contract changes and extensions; occupational health referrals and HR casework.
I am an Associate member of CIPD.
