Rebecca Dean
Research Assistant
In 2013 I gained a BSc in Biomedical Science from Hull University; this course included a research project into the effect of acrolein on fibrosis in Human Primary Lung Fibroblasts as part of a wider project investigating the causes of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Following this I worked as a Laboratory Technician in microbiology at Hull University before taking on an MSc in Human and Molecular Genetics at Sheffield University, which I completed in 2018.
I started as a Research Assistant in Gene Therapy in 2018, working in the Gene Medicine Research Group. This group is developing and producing lentiviral vectors for use in gene therapy for a variety of lung diseases.
