Svea Wupper

DPhil Student

I graduated from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, with a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. The focus of my studies was on drug development, immunology and virology. During my Master's degree, I completed numerous research internships both in academia at the Centre for Integrative Infectious Disease Research at the University of Heidelberg in the laboratories of Prof. Dr. O. T. Fackler, Prof. Dr. B. Müller and Dr. M. Lusic and in industry at  Boehringer Ingelheim - ViraTherapeutics. I completed my studies with a Master's thesis on Deciphering gamma delta T cell activity in Hepatitis D infection. 

My research focuses on understanding the interaction between viruses and the innate immune system.
