Zakariye is a Cardiology Registrar (NW London) and British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR), University of Oxford.
His research interests are primarily in the use of advanced cardiac magnetic imaging techniques including diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and blood-oxygen-level dependent (BOLD) imaging to study hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) disease pathophysiology, prognostication and treatment response.
